Hagit Elmakiyes has not put down her pencil since the age of six, when she first began to write. With two decades of experience giving writing workshops and writing herself, Hagit is one of Israel's most esteemed intuitive writing guides.

Before she turned her attention to full-time writing, Hagit was a journalist and photographer for a leading news agency, progressing to the position of vice president in a public relations office. But she soon tired of the world of journalism and media and that was when she decided to commit her life to the joy of writing, and to share her love with others.

Hagit shares a rural village home with six chickens, five cats, one husband, and a daughter.
