Dr. Shay Efrat is a psychologist, historian, and a Holocaust researcher. He is a lecturer in schools, pre-army preparation programs, teacher training, and academic colleges in Israel. He also interviews Holocaust survivors for Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem.

Dr. Efrat has published the book Holocaust Learning and Morality (2021), the book The Boy From The Forest (2022) and articles on education, psychology, and the Holocaust. He has developed a unique learning model on the subject titled "Holocaust, society, education, and morality", based on moral dilemmas.
